This month marks the seventh birthday of DAIN Studios. In those seven years we’ve witnessed data and AI transform the world of business—and technology isn’t standing still. Today there’s more innovation going on than ever. This advance means it’s never been a more exciting time to work in our sector.
Birthdays are a moment to look back at what we’ve achieved and look forward to what we’ve still got to accomplish. So we want to take a moment to celebrate some of our major milestones since our founding in Helsinki in 2016.
Highlight #1
Opening our fourth European studio
Our first highlight is the opening of our Austria studio in 2022. At DAIN Studios it matters to us that we are as close as possible to those that we work with, and our Vienna base will act as a focal point for clients and partners. The country’s data and AI market is growing, and we look forward to adding value to business operations in the area.
The new location is our fourth base overall, alongside Helsinki, Berlin, and Munich.

Growing our team of specialists to 80

In 2021, a pivotal moment in our company’s history occurred when Körber acquired a majority stake in DAIN Studios. This partnership has opened up exciting new opportunities for our organization, thanks to Körber’s extensive experience, financial resources, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Together with Körber, we can push for further expansion—fueling smarter data and AI strategies and offering even more performance improvements for our clients.

Overseeing Helsinki Data Science Meetup and AI Monday
At DAIN Studios we believe in bringing together business professionals and data and AI specialists. That’s why our work with event series such as Helsinki Data Science Meetup and AI Monday are so important.
At DAIN Studios we’ve been hosting the Helsinki Data Science Meetup since 2016. It’s a quarterly-held, hybrid event series for professionals sharing an interest in data science and artificial intelligence. We’re especially proud of this meetup because of the insights it generates and caliber of the speakers we’ve welcomed.
Helsinki Data Science Meetup isn’t the only event series that we help to run. DAIN Studios has close ties with AI Monday. This gathering is really refreshing because of its straight-talking approach to technology. The aim is to take out all the jargon and focus on explaining AI in the clearest and simplest way possible. This is especially useful for those who might have only entry-level knowledge of data and AI.
