METROPOLIS
Did you know that the first science fiction film that already illustrates the idea of artificial intelligence of all times is German? Metropolis is a monumental silent film of German Expressionism, directed by Fritz Lang between 1925 and 1926. The scene is a futuristic city with a distinctive two-tier society divided between the working class and the city planners. The son of the city’s mastermind falls in love with a working-class prophet. It is one of the most expensive films of the time and is considered one of the most important works in film history.
