We put together some of our top AI and Data related movies that use the genre of science fiction/drama to explore the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it could be used in the future and their speculated impacts on society. METROPOLIS

Did you know that the first science fiction film that already illustrates the idea of artificial intelligence of all times is German? Metropolis is a monumental silent film of German Expressionism, directed by Fritz Lang between 1925 and 1926. The scene is a futuristic city with a distinctive two-tier society divided between the working class and the city planners. The son of the city’s mastermind falls in love with a working-class prophet. It is one of the most expensive films of the time and is considered one of the most important works in film history. Watch the full movie on Youtube with English subtitles

HI, AI

“The most striking feature of this documentary is the contrast between the awkward shortcomings of the robot and the patience by which they are welcomed into their human coaches lives.”
