DAIN Studios’ co-CEOs, Ulla Kruhse-Lehtonen and Dirk Hofmann, have joined the faculty of Harvard University’s upcoming executive program on generative AI.

The Harvard Data Science Initiative (HDSI) is launching a one-week online intensive course, Generative AI: Wisdom and Warnings from Harvard Data Science Review, held from October 3–10, 2025.

The program brings together leading academics and practitioners to explore both the strategic opportunities and critical risks of generative AI. Participants will leave with a personalized AI strategy and use-case playbook for their organization.

The course is organized by Harvard Data Science Initiative and taught by members of the Harvard Data Science Review (HDSR) editorial and advisory boards. It combines academic depth with real-world insight through contributions from international industry experts — including DAIN Studios’ co-CEOs Ulla Kruhse-Lehtonen and Dirk Hofmann, both members of the HDSR Advisory Board.

Being invited to teach at Harvard is a recognition of the practical AI expertise we’ve built with our clients — and an opportunity to share those insights with leaders worldwide
Ulla Kruhse-Lehtonen, Co-CEO of DAIN Studios.

From academic insight to business application

Throughout the week, participants engage in live faculty sessions, interactive labs, and AI-guided project work.

DAIN Studios contributes industry case studies and strategic frameworks drawn from its consulting work across sectors such as manufacturing, telecom, and pharmaceuticals — ensuring that theory translates into business reality.

A collaboration between academia, industry, and AI-driven learning

The course is powered by the AI-enhanced learning platform developed by Next Gen Learning (NGL). The system uses adaptive, voice-interactive tutoring to provide personalized feedback and accelerate applied learning.

Led by Professor Xiao-Li Meng (Harvard University; Editor-in-Chief, HDSR), the teaching team represents a 50-50 balance between academia and industry, with faculty from Harvard, UC Berkeley, Simon Fraser University, DAIN Studios, and Scholé AI.
